But seriously guys – I don’t think I’ll ever do reviews, don’t hold your breath please. In my limited experience, one needs to go hands-on, touch the thing, try a few (or many) rolls, give it time. Review gives nice info, that’s great, but nothing beats personal experience and there are things that review cannot tell.
Only with personal experience one can really say if the relationship is working or not, so to speak. And if it is not working out, you can sell the damn thing any time, or give it to someone. Or put it in the drawer. Hey, it’s just a black box with lens (or without), it’s not people. You can have as many as you want and can and use them or not.
Other than that, my thoughts on this particular Konica camera are something along these lines:
- It takes very nice sharp pictures
- It’s rangefinder, which I think is great
- It has small viewfinder with kinda distorted view, which I don’t like very much
- Light meter is always on and draining battery, so lens cap is a must (light meter sensor is next to a lens)
- It’s not really pants pocketable (it’s big-manly-coat pocketable though)
- I have kinda hard time focusing with it (smallish viewfinder)
- Exposure is all automatic, only focus is manual
- It locks exposure on shutter button half-press!
- It’s cute and practical! I mean almost-pocketable full-frame, come on!
